If you're looking for alternatives to Bubble, you're in luck. By the end of this video, you'll know about three different no code app builders that you can use instead of Bubble. We'll explore the similarities to Bubble as well as the differences and what makes them stand out. While I mostly use Bubble these days when building a no code app, these other tools are also really good and maybe one of them will be right for your project. So let's jump in!
FlutterFlow: Building Native Mobile Apps
FlutterFlow is optimized for native mobile apps. If you want to build an app that's going to be uploaded to the iPhone App Store or Google Play Store, FlutterFlow is a really good option to look into. You're able to build your apps natively for mobile, whereas Bubble is more optimized for web apps. FlutterFlow can also build web apps, but if you wanted to build a web app I might recommend Bubble over FlutterFlow.
Another benefit of FlutterFlow is you can export your code, which you cannot do in Bubble. That's really helpful if you don't want to lock yourself into the Bubble ecosystem.
One key difference between FlutterFlow and Bubble is that in FlutterFlow you have to connect a database separately. You would connect a database such as Firebase or Supabase to FlutterFlow and manage both of them separately. It requires a little bit more technical knowledge to set up.
Pros: Not locked into Bubble ecosystem, can export code
Cons: More complex setup with separate database
WeWeb: No Code Web App Development
WeWeb is similar to FlutterFlow in that you have to connect your own database on the back end. With WeWeb, you're going to be building your front end and then you're going to build on top of a back end like Firebase or Xano. WeWeb also allows you to export your code so you're not locked into their ecosystem the same way you are with Bubble.
When deciding between WeWeb and FlutterFlow, consider whether you want to build a web app or a mobile app. As mentioned, FlutterFlow is more optimized for building mobile apps to upload to app stores. If you want to build a web app, I would go with WeWeb because it's more optimized for web app development.
Wappler: Low Code Software for Technical Users
Wappler is the most technical option among these Bubble alternatives. They even call themselves "low code software" on their homepage. There is a bit of code that's going to be involved. You can very easily integrate code into your Wappler app.
With Wappler, you're also able to export all the code, host it anywhere you want, and connect your own backend database. I would recommend Wappler if you are more technical, perhaps already a software developer with that skill set, and want to be able to add code to your project easily.
Choosing the Right No Code App Builder
To recap, here's how these options stack up:
Bubble: All-in-one ecosystem, easier to start
FlutterFlow: Separate backend, mobile app focus
WeWeb: Separate backend, web app focus, technical users

FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions)
Can I still build web apps with FlutterFlow?
Yes, while FlutterFlow is optimized for native mobile app development, you can still use it to create web apps as well. However, Bubble or WeWeb may be better options if your primary focus is web app development.
Do I need coding experience to use Wappler?
While Wappler is considered a low code platform and is more technical compared to other no code tools, you don't necessarily need extensive coding experience. However, having some coding knowledge can help you take full advantage of Wappler's features and flexibility.
Can I export my app's code from Bubble?
No, Bubble does not allow you to export your app's code. This is one of the key differences between Bubble and alternatives like FlutterFlow, WeWeb, and Wappler, which do provide the ability to export your code.
Is it more difficult to set up an app in FlutterFlow compared to Bubble?
Setting up an app in FlutterFlow can be a bit more complex compared to Bubble, as you need to connect a separate database (e.g., Firebase or Supabase) and manage both the front end and back end separately. This requires a little more technical knowledge compared to Bubble's all-in-one ecosystem.
